One New Skill For This Year BREAD
What the heck
I enjoyed your video. You articulated it perfectly. Very informative.
I would demand them replace it with a new one. Works the same as the lemon law does on a new vehicle
New to me and never got started with the grains someone gave me. Thanks for the helpful, thorough, well presented info!
Looking at all your hard work must make you so satisfied ❤. Love you guys
VT
Here in Australia when we tarp our big bales we hold the tarps down using old tyres, usually they are very easy to aquire at mechanic shops
Very helpful
Can’t find the video where you tell us how you got the high tunnel. Please direct me so I can apply for one‼️ Thank you

Wow you never know what can happen ... Can your hay storage be tarped? This way it could be moved around. I remember you all had army worms last year. Okay, that is good didn't know there was a specific tarp for hay. Great for your storage. So glad you have had a good year for your hay. The bales look beautiful. All the best.
🤢🤮
aw shit
❤
We have wet ground in winter so I don’t think we could stack hay on the ground
How does the net prevent mold?
I remember the hay fire y’all had 😢 that was so terrible. That was when I learned that hay can spontaneously combust. We have such a small herd of sheep we only purchase 10-12 square bales at a time when we need it. Thankfully we are not in need of large hay storage but this is great info as you never know what the future will bring! Love from south TX ❤
Ugh
Andrea, I'm happy you had an excellent hay harvest. It's very smart not to have the hay in your barn. Storing your hay in your field away from roads with traffic is also a good thing. I say this because we've had someone drive by, and start 2 farmers hay bales on fire in the middle of rhe night. The loss was of many hundreds of bales. Cops are looking for the person (s). I like the idea of using tarps with your wrapped bales.
Please show some pictures after you get the tarps on
I have seen farmers here in Kentucky use a white plastic looking rap around each bail of hay...
She chicken: poc poc poc poooc
Thanks Andrea. Great video. Love your videos girl! God bless from OKC.❤
The hen has no privacy at all
Crappy customer service is the norm now. I understand it's up to me to get them to do a good job and that's hard when they just don't care because the companies they work for don't care. Just got a lemon, it happens. Mine runs great and the customer service was above average. Love Kentucky people.
don't put all your eggs in the same basket. I personally would stack 100 bells of hay. Then leave a large Space start, another stack. Thanks for the video
Great Video Andrea & yes barns are a huge expense & to build & have one burn down would be heart breaking, also so dangerous, it was so lucky those neighbors were passing. 🥰🥰 Cheers Denise- Australia
Thankful the hay cutting was good this year!!! Great idea on the covering.
Sell your extra hay and give to the poor and you will have treasure in heaven. That's what the Bible says. Don't be like the rich man who saw his bumper crop of hey and demolished his old barns down just to build bigger barns. Trust in God. What does it mean as farmer to practically trust in God? The Bible is not silent on this matter.
@Jackc7617 Anyone who farms trust in God. He is the one who set things in motion and we rely on that every day. The soil, the rain, the nutrient cycle, etc. God also gave some of us common sense. I think you should keep reading a little farther…. And seek not ye what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink, neither be ye of doubtful mind. For all these things do the nations of the world seek after: and your Father knoweth that ye have need of these things. Does this mean that you shouldn’t keep any food in your house? How much is enough food to have on hand? How much is enough hay to have on hand?
@@smithfamilypasturesThe bible verse they referenced isn't saying to give away your crop its saying to lay your treasure up in heaven not in physical possessions. Because however large they are they are finite but heaven is infinite. They don't understand farming or the scriptures.
@OldPecanHomestead I know and understand this. I was just trying to make them think about what they were saying.
Will there be a 3rd cutting?
that just makes me so happy how God just blessed your harvest and you are stewarding it so well❤🙌🏼🙏🏼
hey andrea why dont yall get the white bail wrap it water and weather protect the hay from getting mold on the bottom of the hay which isnt good for the cattle
Did they ever say “It’s within spec”? I bought a 2015 2500 it had a bad vibration throughout the acceleration up to highway speed 70 or so and around 50 it was the worse. Was told everything is within spec. I immediately stopped taking it to them and just said I hope it lasts. So far so good. Having to take it back and fourth to the dealership was a pain in its own. Being able to trust businesses and these new products is really hard. Like many said before it is all about the money not the customers.
I remember that fire. It made my heart stop, I was so concerned. But look where God has brought you guys. It's been such a blessing to follow along. Those hay tarps are pretty vool gadgets. I love how you said that second crop of hay was like God had just waved His hand across it. What a wonderful picture of God's ability to bless generously.
Hey y’all, I am so glad that they were folks willing to stop and help you and keep things from getting worse than they had to. I do like that idea of the wagons and the tarps because if you run the tractor from your barn back-and-forth to where the cows are you’re gonna spend an awful lot of fuel and time and extra maintenance. So I think having the hay where the where the cows and the cattle are just makes all kinds of sense. I don’t imagine that they’re gonna be able to call those fix building therefore they shouldn’t be able to tax them the way they would if you built a bar. Those that you built a barn you don’t pay tax on that barn every year for the rest of the time you own that barn and that farm and that ain’t right either. So I really hope this works out for y’all and that it allows you to spend your money somewhere else because there’s always 10 places to spend money and only one amount that you can spend at a time. Y’all take care God bless, Steven.
Praying for you blessing on your crop for safe storage ❤️🙏
Large tarps are cumbresome and heavy!
There's a difference between a livestock barn, hay barn and machine shed.. storing hay without a roof over it here, makes mulch before the end of October.. even round bales with netwrap. Most hay fires are caused by too much moisture in the hay.. Heat lamps are one of the worst things!! Unfortunately, a necessary evil sometimes.. Glad your friends caught it before it got any worse!!!
This is a great way to store your hay. I saw a nearby farmer stacking their hay this way. It really looks good for storage. I'm happy you are finding a great way to store up on your hay.😊❤
Thank God those folks came by when they did. Congratulations on a great haying year Andrea. It never hurts to go into winter with a surplus.
Eewwww
Good information to know. I will add that I would have walked out when the dealer was dishonest. I never try to force a business to sell me anything.
I've been around the block a time or two and now of the age that I would never allow myself to have to cater to a sale, if I'm not catered to than the door damn sure isn't going to hit me on the way out.
So good! Thank you for sharing. ❤
When it's that bad.walk away and wait.
Congratulations ❤ The two of you are testimony Of how God used you to be the parents to your children. They are passing on each step that they go in each of their marriages. The wisdom did vice everything that you and Ben taught them along with the Lord to this big old world. How I wish we lived closer. It would be so fun to get coffee at your stand a good cup of coffee is amazing. I can't wait for you all to one day, have grandchildren. You're gonna have so much fun, but now you get to have fun with each other in a new way. My youngest is expecting a baby in December and it will be my sixth grandchild. I didn't become a Grandma until I was 51. My grandma my mom both became grandparents at age forty. Bless the both of you. Bless each day together. Bless your farm and all the stories. You get to hear when your children come around and you're gonna sit back and just say God, you are ever so good. I'm sure you do already, but the smile and you and Ben's fayes, it's such smiles of love. Thank you for being that testimony of a family sold out for Jesus in all you do. Congratulations To both your children and their beautiful marriage
It seems to be an enjoyable kinda hard work I would love it if I could go back 30yrs..😊
I know this is about 4 yrs late but I just saw your channel and found helpful tips. I have subscribed so hopefully I’ll learn even more. But I have questions!!! I moved outside of Abilene TX, zone 8 last fall so this is my first garden in this area. Its dry but I’ve had good luck with the small garden that I have. Only grow slicer tomatoes, cherry tomatoes, bell peppers, jalapeños, zucchini, yellow squash in raised beds. I have beans and cucumbers on trellises nearby.. More problems with birds & grasshoppers than anything else. The deer are more interested in the sweet mesquite trees so that’s a blessing. I have always planted Marigolds under my tomatoes and peppers. Works very well, I think. I’ve never had any issues with squash bugs until now and they’re only going after my beans. I’ve seen a few around the cucumbers too but I haven’t got even one bean this year. Ive had lots of cucumbers though. I’ve had no problem with my squash, tomatoes, or peppers, which all have marigolds planted under them. I was wondering if I can get the same results from marigolds planted next year from my saved seeds? I know that we often lose color, bloom size, etc when saving seeds & hoping I can keep the bug preventative qualities. I’m trying to save as much money as possible nowadays so I collected tons of seed. Also, does anyone know if I can mash marigold blooms or leaves to create a tea for spraying in the garden? Any help is appreciated! (Sorry, I really didn’t mean to write a novel!)
I ordered it from Amazon n ups screwed up the delivery n they arrived all small n watery this is Arizona!! The heat is ridiculous right now! I called n was pissed n the supervisor drove them out himself (very nice I was amazed) now it arrived all clear water n hardly any curds at all.. I’ve had it in raw milk for over 12hours n nothing. ?? N I was told to tightly cover your kefir.. How do I know if these r even any good??
